| Souhrn apod.: | The bachelor thesis Social agriculture: innovation for social work presents social farming as a tool to promote and develop physically and socially disadvantaged persons which is based on agricultural activities. The purpose of social farming is to create within farms or through agricultural activities conditions that enable the integration of persons with special needs into mainstream society while ensuring improvement in their physical and mental condition and promoting the quality of their social relationships. The thesis describes the concept of social farming, defines its users and its providers. It deals with its history and status in some European countries and focuses in more detailed way on the current state of social farming in the Czech Republic. The author confirms its quality and limitations by introducing foreign research studies in this area, and in her own research on the two social farms in the Czech Republic. The entire text covers as well themes of social integration, development of rural communities, the social economy and multifunctional agriculture.
